I have played the game few times years ago and I seem to remember that ending was slightly different on both times.

Can anyone confirm that there indeed are different endings to game?

Yes, although I think the differences aren't that big - just the ending speech.

If you gather all treasures and/or complete the game with max score (not sure which of them, though), your final reward will be bigger than if you don't.
