I finished DL1 with the move guide and loved it. But I want to try again without the guide, as my understanding is that's much more faithful to the original version. I can start a new game without the guide just fine, but the problem is that when I quit and "continue" my old game, the move guide re-appears and the arrows light up. This is rather inconvenient as I don't really have time to play the whole game in one session. Any ideas how to fix this?

I finally manged to make it through DL1 in one sitting, but DL2 is longer and harder and has the same problem. Except in this one it seems like none of the settings (lives etc.) are saved when you quit the game. This really needs to be fixed, the games are great other than this.
... same thing in Space Ace as well. I've encountered other bugs too, for instance the special animations to pick the objects up in Dragon's Lair 2 often glitch out and don't show. I've also had broken death scenes that refuse to play and freeze up the game.

Really, the original games are great, but all the glitches in this version mar the experience significantly. This should be one of the easiest games to make from a programming standpoint, which is why I'm shocked to see all these major bugs. This forum doesn't get much traffic so when I've finished the games I will write a review to let others know, as the other reviews don't mention these issues at all.
