Hello Everyone,

when I start DDDA, I always get a Fatal Error (see attached file). I tried:
- reinstalling the game,
- installing it on a different drive,
- checked/repaired the files with the GOG Galaxy Client
- running it as an administrator etc.
No matter what I did, it was always the same error. I have no other ideas :(
If someone could help, I would be very thankfull :)

I've read that the game itself doesn't like long installation paths.Try installing at just DDDA folder.
But first delete the file mentioned in error message and try repairing then as you clearly have issues with it.
If this won't work you could try other standard fixes like reinstallation of DirectX 9 and Visual C++ Redistributables installed with the game.
Hey zadymek, thanks for the tipps but I've already done that (the reinstalling of the game so it has a shorter path and the reinstall od DirectX and Visual C++ Redistributables) and it didn't help :(

BUT

What fixed the problem was this:
1. I downloaded the game manually from my GOG library
2. Installed it manually (under the exact same path as seen in my screenshot)
3. GOG Galaxy automaticly added it to my installed games
4. Let it run via GOG Galaxy and it downloaded a patch to it and then the game started normally

What was strange is, that when I downloaded it via GOG Galaxy and also installed it, he also downloaded 106MB of something but couldn't apply said download to the game. He did it every time I wanted to start the game.

Anyway thanks again for the tipps :) the topic can be closed but if someone has a simmilar problem, do try the points above :)

Oh yeah. I ran offline instalation. But never would guess Galaxy would mess it.
I guess you could send a report to GOG Support, maybe they have something to fix.
