Following is a link to a saved file, "DATA1", that has a character that knows every spell, including an unlimited insta-kill Inferno spell (enter a power of 1 when you cast Inferno):

icedrive.net/s/NTfXB6jXbjQbuQwbPg8FWYSit758

To use this file:

1. Download the file
2. Exit the game, if it is running
3. Copy "DATA1" into "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Dragon Wars\cloud_saves\DRAGON"
4. Start the game
5. Select "Began a new game"

Alternatively, select "Continue an old game" instead of "Began a new game" to start the game with the most powerful items with unlimited charges as well.

By any chance, could you share how you constructed this file? I'm curious.

I spent way too much time finding ways to use Cheat Engine to cheat on the game! I was trying simply to duplicate items, but I ended up figuring out how to set charges. And I found that setting the number of charges of an item to 63 results in an item with unlimited charges.

I got lucky with the insta-kill Inferno as well. I was trying to figure out simply how to learn all spells. But then I noticed that I did not allocate any points to Sun Magic but knew all the Sun Magic spells, which surprisingly resulted in the insta-kill Inferno (and, by the way, never-ending spells like Cloak Arcane).

Did you manage to learn Wrath of Mithras doing this? I remember learning it by hex editing the DATA1 file, and it was fully functional. (I would expect it to also instant-kill; it only hits one group but it has 90 foot range; the only thing with longer range is that one dragon queen's breath attack. Speaking of which, I'm wondering what would happen if you did manage to win that battle (instant-kill spells won't be enough; you'd also need enough Health to survive some advances or (if I understand the mechanics correctly) enough Spirit to not get burned by the flames.)

The other normally unobtainable spells (like Prison) do exist, and they work as described in the manual, which I find rather interesting.

Incidentally, there are some items, available through normal gameplay, with 63 charges, which means they have infinite charages. You can't get other items to that many charges normally, but you can use Charger to get any item with an attached spell (this includes a few things you wouldn't expect, like scrolls) up to 49.

I find it interesting that you used Cheat Engine to construct the save, whereas when I was playing with similar things, I just used a hex editor on the save file.
Hi. Yes, I was able to get Wrath of Mithras and Prison, and I was able to beat the Dragon Queen but only after setting my health to a high value. (See the attached screenshots.) Do you happen to know if there is a way to get Prison without cheating?

I'm not aware of any way to get that spell.

According to a post by the developers, some content had to be cut for the release due to space constraints, and it's quite possible that the scrolls for these spells were in the locations that were cut.

The Famicom version, I believe, put those spells in that wizard's laboratory, but I note that that version is also significantly different mechanically, and some locations present in the PC version were cut out of the Famicom version.
