Just bought Dragon Age Origin: Deluxe and trying to run the game, upon launch I get 'Missing PhysXLoader.dll. I go to install from the game's installer package and I get "your current version is newer than the one you're trying to install. Aborting installation."

Any help?
A few ideas:

1. Try running the game as admin (right-click the short-cut, then select Run as Administrator).
2. Download the latest PhysX drivers directly from NVIDIA: http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.16.0318-driver.html
3. If you're using a GeForce graphics card, update your graphics drivers: http://www.geforce.com/drivers

On another forum i had found this solution : Search in NVidia's site for a file called "physx legacy driver" and install it.
I dont know if it replaces the current Physx files or complete them as i havent tried it yet.
Hope it will work for you and others.
I have done all of the above and the game still isn't launching;

I've gone to nvidia, to geforce, ran the game as admin, and it still claims my physxloader.dll is missing, when I have the latest one, and legacy.

geforce wouldn't allow me to download the new drivers, claiming I had other installations running when I did not.

not sure what to do now
I was able to get around this by launching the game manually.

Navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Dragon Age Origins

Launch: DAOriginsLauncher.exe (I did NOT need to run this as admin)

Enjoy!

GOG Devs: Based on my research, the path variable needs to be updated for the shortcut in Galaxy. I believe that adding "C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common" on the shortcut will fix the PhysXLoader issue.
I had the same problem. Running as admin fixed it for me.
Alright, might be bumping an old thread, but I just had this issue a fixed it very easily.

In my situation I just moved the game from one PC to another via a thumb drive. What I did to fix it was run the PhysX_9.09_0408_SystemSoftware.exe inside the redist directory of Dragon Age folder. E.G. Assuming GOG Galaxy is installed in the default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Dragon Age Origins\redist\PhysX_9.09.0408_SystemSoftware.exe

I had a PhysX -related problem, too. I noticed that my computer had 2 versions of PhysX installed. One of them was labeled "legacy", which was installed recently more recently than the latest version. I uninstalled the legacy version, and started getting "Missing PhysXLoader.dll". So I re-installed the latest version. This solved the problem. I don't know if it broke some other game that needed the legacy version - we'll have to wait and see. But I know that as of today, Dragon Age does not require the legacy version on my system.

Adding to this old thread since this is still an issue today. I already had both the Legacy drivers and the latest PhysX installed. Running as admin did nothing, moving files or directories as suggested here and elsewhere didn't either. Simply uninstalling and immediately re-installing the (same version of) PhysX did solve the issue. (Windows 10, GeForce 1060, latest drivers).

Had this issue today, the fix is to download PhyX drivers from nvidia or install the included ones and then copy all the .dll files

from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common

to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Dragon Age Origins\bin_ship

provided you used the default folders for both. This will negate the need for launching as admin or any of the other solutions in this thread and the game will just run.
Find PhysXLoader.dll in your C:\PROGRAM FILES\NVIDIA CORPORATION folder. There will be few DLL there. Copy all to the path where the game's executable is located. No need to run as administrator.
it seems like dragon age origins has compadibility problems with windows 10 or 11, i fixed it by installing both the latest nvidia psych program (it was not installed correctly on my system) and also the legacy version of the older psych for this game, although i think just by installing the latest it should work (if its not installed correctly on your system)
