I just got it a few days ago so I decide to give galaxy another chance.

After installing galaxy and using it to download the game, galaxy shows failed after 1 hour of install.

Then I use check files cache, after about 10 minutes loading it just showed a blink that shuts down within a second, saying no change will be made to the installation. (which means the game is still unplayable)

Is it a galaxy problem I'm encountering here?

just download it from the website or download the exe backup files with galaxy...
since there is the ability to check the installer when you install the game, and it is split into pieces you will be able to understand if something is wrong about one part.
after that you can add it to galaxy if you want.

Galaxy has download and install issues with almost every game. I recommend that you download directly from website. Now only because Galaxy will have issues, also because Galaxy will download all 40GB while an installer would be much less. So downloading the installers is always faster than installing through Galaxy.

I have been avoiding Galaxy. I don't need more automation to go wrong.

I use the old GoG downloader, so I can one click download the whole set of files.

It just works.

Same for me, It just works most of the time.

I've galaxy finally worked!! Although it took another 4 hours installing (about 3 hours doing the "moving" during installing)

Last time I used it to download witcher 3 it worked fine but now don't know what went wrong with it. :?

Old gog downloader really feel more reliable than this.

sounds to me like your c drive is full but gratz on getting it loaded.

I installed the game in e drive and still has 300g left though.

yes but Galaxy downloads to the c drive by default... have you changed that?

The installed folder? Ya, they're all directed to e:/
