I have applied both the patch included with the game and the 4gb patch.

The Launcher runs fine and from there Opening the cofiguration application works fine.

Clciking Play in the launcher or running the game straight from the .exe fails before the initial logo animation shows up at all. Unless I disable Sound in the cofinguration.

Is there any workaround to get the sound working or is it better to try and get it running on an old Windows XP setup?

I'm having this exact issue. Tried everything I could think off or find on the internet. Still no succes. Has anyone found a solotion to this? I'm running windows 10 with a RTX 4070 Super.
