In Downwell, I've noticed that every time the game is restarted (after a game over) that the display mode always resets to full screen. This happens even if a player is using windowed mode. I've also tried the "Tate" mode while using windowed mode in Downwell. Every time the user clicks "Retry" to restart the game it still reverts to full screen.

Is there a way to fix this bug? I'm using Downwell version "drmfree_20161119 (7980)" on Windows 7.

I have the same problem. I play almost all games in windowed mode and this one just won't stay windowed - keeps going fullscreen after every retry. Can't stop, won't stop.

A couple of people on steam forums are also reporting this bug, and considering that one of the reports was from 2015 and the other is from 2017, this bug might just stay in forever, which is sad. Very sad.
