What have you been playing lately? Is there always that one map or mod you go back to?

I just bit into GMOTA for the first time last night, and man am I impressed. It's a neat idea inspired by SNES and Arcade medieval settings that changes your entire weapon lineup to one ranged and melee weapon (with optional pickups). You can find that floating around here: http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=45115

I also love playing DoomRL Arsenal, and it always breathes new life into whatever WAD I play it with. Basically it translates the mechanics of a Roguelike based on Doom to the main game, and it features all sorts of stuff like random pickups and weapon mods. Just won a Cacoward actually. http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=37044

It may sound quite boring, but I really like the Sprite Fixing Project, that fixes a huge number of minor problems. Thread on ZDoom forum.
Doom: The Golden Souls

Pretty much Doom meets Super Mario 64, meets other classic Nintendo related games. It's a fantastic little mod and well worth learning FPS platforming for.
Just tried Brutal Doom and . . . it's the best mod I've ever played.
Megawads: Alien Vendetta, Scythe 1 & 2, Back to Saturn X, Vanguard, Going Down

Enhancement mods: Smooth Doom, Beautiful Doom

Gameplay mods: DemonSteele, Guncaster, Reelism, Hideous Destructor

Unlike Brutal Doom it doesn't change the core gameplay.

Golden Souls

Pirate Doom

Action Doom 2

Reelism (seriously play this)

Brutal Wolfenstein - Like it more than Brutal Doom.

Sonic Robo Blast 2 - A Doom mod that does Sonic better than most of the official 3d games.

Voidship 2 : The way this level gradually unfolds is amazing. It makes awesome use of small space with intricate detail. Finding all the secrets is a real bitch and some parts of the level are one-way, with no ability to backtrack from that point on.
How do I install WADs with the instalation GOG install?
Thank you!
First: get a development build of or [url=http://devbuilds.drdteam.org/gzdoom/]GZDoom. Install them anywhere you want (just extract the content of the 7zip file somewhere, like D:\Doom or something). (Note: don't get the builds from January 15 or 16, there's a bug in them which prevents from opening doors, oops.)

Download wad files you want to play. Drag-and-drop them on the zdoom.exe or gzdoom.exe icon. A small window may appear, asking you to choose which IWAD to run, choose one as appropriate (most WADs are made for Doom II, but many are made for Ultimate Doom and some are even made for TNT or Plutonia).
