Hello!

I'm trying to make myself a clean and easy way to configure installation for Doom/Final Doom/Doom 2. My idea is having something (either a program or a bunch of shortcuts) so I can launch GZDoom with my preferred wads and/or mods.

Right now, I've managed to get just a shortcut to launch the last version of Brutal Doom ( -File brutalv20b.pk3 ), but I'm trying to find some kind of application which allows me to tell the game when I launch it "I want this, this and this wads also loaded, but not those." Maybe even save different configurations, so I can switch between Brutal Doom and Pirate Doom at will.

I gess I'm looking for some kind of frontend which makes this easy. I've been trying ZDL but it cames with no manual or readme and it seems it can't store different configurations (and it does not seems too easy to change).

Any idea?

I use Doom Explorer personally

It does both of those.
IMHO it's awesome for those times you just want to use that long mod list (that mappack, that music, these textures, ooh that hud looks awesome....)
Wow, dude, that's exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks, finally I can manage my extensive collection of Doom stuffs! I've been always more or less just hoarding wads and trying them from time to time but ended up bored for the huge amount of variations you can get. Thanks!
You may want to take a look at Doom Launcher, too: http://realm667.com/index.php/en/doom-launcher
I've been using my own batch scripts (which take user inputs) to launch GZDoom for various different Doom engine games and mods. That's been working fine, and as the load order is then set within the batch file I don't have to worry about accidentally loading mods in the wrong order, and I don't have to worry about any leftovers that might be present on my system as a result of using 3rd party applications.
