So, i was just wondering if there is some way that, if i use the GZDoom launcher, GOG would recognize this as if i'm starting the game (just like it did when it opens the Dropbox version) just for registering my time played, because honestly, GZDoom is just too good to be ignored.
It's a very minor thing, i could still play the game with GOG not registering my playtime, but if it's possible to do, i would gladly do it. I remember that i got that way working on Steam.

Sorry if this is kind of a newbie thing maybe, i'm not very familiar with mods, GZDoom or whatever. I just played Doom as a kid and i'm willing to play it again.
Just for clarification:
GOG is the company that sells games. The client you use to run games is called Galaxy.
Dropbox is a way to send files online. Dosbox is how you play old dos games.

I don't use Galaxy or Dosbox, but I do use GZDoom.

If I had to guess, I'd say you might be able to just rename the gzdoom.exe executable file to quake.exe (or whatever file name GOG Galaxy recognizes to run the game).

You'll want to rename your quake.exe file to something else before you rename your gzdoom.exe file to quake.exe

Of course, if you could just select the executable in Galaxy, that would be ideal (so you don't have to rename anything), but I don't know how or if you can do that.
