I'm getting the bizarreist glitch after getting into the lift at the end of the first level. When level 2 starts it's like the character's vision glitches. When you walk, turn your head or move at all the images replicate over and over again turning the screen into phycadellic mess in nano-seconds. It makes the game totally unplayable. The screen might as well show nothing. I am still able to go back to the menu no problem. But resuming the game or restarting the level just gives me visual gibberish again. And If I go back to an earlier save then the whole cycle will start again as soon as I get to level 2.

I'm using Window 7. Playing via GOG Galaxy.

If any one can help I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

I never encountered that glitch in this specific game myself, but that kind of overlapping bug usually comes from a missing texture in the games where I have encountered that bug. If it's a missing texture, then the downloaded probably screwed up during downloading somewhere so you'll probably have to reinstall.

I reinstalled it and it's better. But still a problem. I can start the game and play a full level. But if I reach a new level or die I get the overlapping glitch again. And then I have to turn the game off and on to start again. There must be a better way.

Best to raise this with GOG Support, see if they've experienced this or can suggest some possible fixes.

Other than that, it may be a driver incompatibility, or something about your specific hardware. You could always try a source port, see if that works any better. The only one I'm aware of is RBDOOM-3-BFG.

Yeah I would recommend GOG support for this one. I've never encountered this bug before so I don't know how to fix it. It could be some kind of hardware/driver incompatibility resulting in textures not loading properly, but without knowing the specifics, it's hard to tell.
