If I put this in the wrong place I apologize, this is my first post.
Strange one here. I got the BFG edition of doom here on gog, and it works just fine on my Linux mint 19 setup. All except for the sound in Doom 3. The other 2 included Doom games are fine. They have sound, play and don't crash or anything. Neither does Doom 3, it just doesn't have any sound whatsoever. Running latest stable wine version. Not sure if it's a driver or something? That I can think of all the codecs and whatnot are there, so I've got no idea. Seeing if anyone else has run into this with any luck. I looked about the forum and don't remember seeing my specific case.

Why bother with wine when you can run it native ? (NOTE: GOG Achievements are not supported)

I hadn't heard about this project before, but I'm sure glad you pointed it out to me. I'm up and running with sound and no problems to talk about. Many thanks.
