Hello everybody,

Does anybody know how to mod the game for corpses not to disappear?
I know both IdTech 3 games, Quake 4 and DOOM 3, had this feature because of performance problems if too much things are being rendered at the same time.

However, time has moved forward and with nowadays computers that shouldn´t be a problem and I would like to have it turned on.

Do you know which mods do this or about some step by step manual how to do this?
I really would like to play with this thing on.

Thanks for answers.

There's this:
http://www.moddb.com/mods/doom-3-bfg-hi-def/addons/ungibbable-mod-for-doom-3-bfg-hi-def

However from the description, it appears you need the Hi-Def or RBDoom3BFG mod installed first.
Use RBDoom3BFG and this mod:

EDIT: wonderfulillusion beat me to it, though that post wasn't visible to me when I posted mine, which is odd considering it was 30 minutes earlier.

Thank you guys so much! :)
Yeah there are mods.

Word of warning, though: The disappearing corpses is what keeps the constant enemy spawns in the final boss section and you need that constant stream of enemies to power the Soul Cube, which is the only weapon to hurt the boss. Now I think there are also mods that allow the boss to be vulnerable to all weapons and you can play it that way, but I like the Soul Cube element and that's why I don't use the mod.

Just a head's up.

Yeah it's a neat mod and looking at your carnage after a battle is always neat. Just wanted to give a head's up in case you reach the final level and end up getting stuck and confused.
