When I attempt to log into Doom1+2, it presents me with the cacodemon loading screen, which immediately freezes. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I Have the same problem.

Tried it on Playstation 4 it lets you download mods but need ps plus for multiplayer which is a bit expensive for me.

Tried Quake Enhanced and that game doesnt crash when login on bethesda.net and online play works fine.

Tried Doom Online Multiplayer works great but only free on certain weekends other times have to buy PS Plus on the Playstation version.

Yeah I'm having the same problem. Seems to be a general bug they need to fix.

Also having this issue. Seriously hoping this isn't another case of restricting online features if not using the Galaxy client.
Did a quick test and started this new version in GOG Galaxy. Bethesda login worked fine and I was able to browse featured mods and community mods (of course Sunlust is already listed there) then so it seems to be correct that you need GOG Galaxy for featured/extra community mod access. Haven't tested anything on the multiplayer side yet.

Open event viewer and check the file

Also, remember that windows 7 & 8/8.1 are not supported...

Damn, if that’s the case that kinda sucks. I’ll try downloading GOG galaxy and installing it through there later. Thanks for the heads-up.
This sucks. So the standalone install has this bug. Any idea if that version will be updated soon? Guess I'll report it to gog support.
I wonder if it's a feature and not a bug. No disrespect to GOG, but it is very much a Bethesda move to intentionally lock features behind a launcher, essentially defeating the purpose of having a DRM-Free download in the first place.

Zenimax/Bethesda just want to monopolize communtiy-made legacy assembled for 3 decades. We had leisure and freedom thanks to John Carmack and his moral principles. Nowdays iD is a name only. And new IP-holder have chosen a moment when in the community too major generation shift happens. So, those who whined in Steam forums: "Where is workshop?" will become corner stone for the new walled mod repository. And that's really disturbing.

Doom is probably the game with longest mod archive tradition. I doubt they are able to replace that.
Had the same issue, installing GOG Galaxy solved it, it is needed for online multiplayer and mods.

Tho it is not clear that you need it (not obvious in store page description and ingame itself).

Game also just crashes if you try to login without it, this needs to be fixed. And if you login and then later decide to remove gog galaxy, going into mods (at least) will crash the game.
So it seems everyone's able to login to Bethesda for the mods expect me, i just keep on getting Bethesda. net has encountered an error, running through GOG Galaxy, seriously stumped that it won't let me login
I just noticed I did got this versions, probably because I had Ultimate Doom and Doom 2. But I just can't log in to Bethesda.net. I start the game and there is no login screen poping up at and I can't access the mods "store".

Look under the options menu there is the bethesda.net login. But crashes for me when attempting to login.
