When I tried to download Brutal Doom V20b from ModDB,,-and this was the one uploaded by Sergeant Mark IV himself-my download was automatically blocked because the it said the download was not safe.

Now, I use Norton (because my dad put it there) so I think it's just a false positive but I can't be sure. Did anyone else have this problem and is it just what I think it is?

It sounds like a false positive. Maybe you should check the file with something like virustotal

Well, It was the Smart Screen filter that blocked it but I think that is part of Norton or at least Internet Explorer. I don't know if the file is safe.

Here is where I tried to download it.

According to google, Smart Screen is part of Internet Explorer.

Virustotal says that the site is clean () and the download is probably safe ([url=https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/7c031473ba376f9675ef4ad4fb801dd2bd0db3d284f161a1fe398a312b746c06/analysis/1465497816/]report).
