The idea here is that this is basically Brutal Doom without the code looking like the Flying Spaghetti Monster's spawn. It's streamlined, slimmed down (wonder if there's a performance boost), cleaned up, and made far more welcoming to developers. Also some stuff was removed, if you're interested you could most likely port it back in or remake it I guess. There's still work to be done, but as it is things are pretty sweet.

It removes too many features I think help make Brutal Doom what it is. No fatalities, last stand states for monsters, detailed hitboxes, alternate fire modes. It's nice that the code it being cleaned up (god, I've been there in production code. It can be daunting at first), but to remove so much of the features makes it less of a draw for me.I played through the entire "Hell on Earth" campaign from Sgt Mark IV and encountered a few minor bugs, but not enough to make this project worthwhile in my estimation. Interesting though.
