$39 in the USA which isn't much but still why the region price GOG, I thought we went over this.

Magmarock: why the region price
There is retail release of the game. Regional pricing is a result of contracts with retailers and distributors in various regions.

Yeah I know but I thought GOG had a policy on regain pricing equivalent to DRM.

They weren't quite equivalent. When lack of regional pricing was a significant problem with being able to offer more new DRM free games, GOG went with DRM free as being more important. They implemented store credits for those paying more than the US price, similar to what they did when the Witcher 2 launched. There were a couple very long topics about this at the time of the announcements.
I'm from Belgium and Got a 9,99$ and 5.99$ gift codes.

In the end, this makes for 40$ + 15.99$ which is lower than the 53$ (=39€ converted).

I read on the forum that we can by the DLC with the 9,99$ gift code.
If this is true, in the end for 53$ we can get the game (40$), the DLC (10$) + 5.99$ gift code, the sum of them are actually 55.99$

Good bargain I think (considering the DRM free aspect).

I thought the whole point of Kickstarter was so you didn't have to get a publisher on board?

The kickstarter was to be able to add extra features and polish to the game. There were deals with distributors and retailers before that point (the distributors guaranteed a minimum number of retail sales, and handled the localization). It doesn't matter who is involved on the developer side of the equation, retailers and distributors are always going to be involved in any general retail release.

FWIW, if a few recent comments and interviews are any indication, Larian will be much less likely to do a retail release for future games, and more likely to have a staggered release, rather than try to have all localizations done at one.
