Alright this is my first time playing this game and I just entered Stormfist Castle well after doing almost every sidequest possible, for the first time and now am in a dungeon, and I am here to rant about the balls this kid has to just treat people and MY PC like shit and hes obviously going to be a major villian...NO Spoilers... and his WIFE OF A BITCH really is getting on my nerves and pissing me the Fuck off... and how he decides to give the tittle to PC's...''Lord Protector'' and he seemed to be fine with handling his assassins but still ultimitaly screamed out for help and then bitch more about how the PC did nothing, which was the good choice hoping he would die but hes fine. And dont get me started with his ''Advisor''. Larian studios I salute you for make a villian that I hate his guts and completley unsympatheic and shows that being bad does not always mean you are cool. It has been a while since I've had hate their guts even if they are npc's. Anyone else feel this way for the first time...

I'm not sure how far before the events of DD that Original Sin is set (at least awhile, since it will cover the formation of the Black Ring), but if possible you should be able to meet Janus' mother and instruct her on the behavioural advantages of spankings (or at least the threat of them), and get an experience bonus, or something, for doing so. I was hoping for something like that meeting her in DD.

Yes, Duke Janus and Lady Elona are pretty horrible. When you uncover their secrets you will understand why. Though you might end up feeling a little sorry for Janus.

Yea after playing through the game, uncovering plot. And now that i'm at the final stage...I still dont feel sorry for him but now I know why he is a asshole.

I think his personality started off that way, and just got worse. Nobody that I recall remarked on any drastic changes in his behaviour, anyway, so while some things that people knew about seemed harsh (like confining his mother to her house), the change was apparently within what one could explain by the death of a father and the responsibility of becoming duke so early.

I tried everything I could think of to kill that kid. I was playing a sorcerer, too (see my other thread on this board for information about that), so I think I could have wiped him and all his guards, secret power or no. Alas, I was forbidden from doing so. Damn you, linear plotline...

What happens if you tuck your teleport pyramids away before you to report to the castle (so the imp doesn't steal them)

If you don't have a teleporter pyramid with you when you enter the castle, the imp with show up the next time you try to use one, or they will stop working until the point you would have gotten them back.
