Just noticed an update for Divine Divinity in my notifications, but I need help finding the update information, or notes, etc. Normally, I would re-download and not worry about it, but the file is 1.7Gb.

http://www.gog.com/support/divine_divinity doesn't seem to have what I'm looking for.

This question / problem has been solved by Namurimage
The update was a new Mac installer for the French version of the game.

Where did you find this information, so that I know what to look for with future game updates?

I wouldn't know by simply looking at the download page for the game unless I had the full contents memorized.

The "update information" is one of the major flaws of GOG.

Be sure to vote for a proper change log feature to help make this change one day:

Here

It's the topmost sticky on this board.

Reagrding the download page noting the changes, there's a sticker labeleb [new] next to whatever is changed, in this particular case you wouldn't see it unless you were to change the version of the installer to French.

GOG seriously needs to implement a proper changelog ;)

I was replaying it when I saw the update so I uninstalled the game and downloaded the updated version. The music has been changed. The score I was used to is there but other pieces are interchanged with it. For instance, Just in Time for an Ale plays now when you go in the back door of the Blue Boar. And there is some haunting flute music in the woods and fields around Aleroth. Wonderful improvement!

Not having a Mac, I couldn't say about that. <g>

Actually that was a bug that the music wasn't necessarily changing properly between areas above ground. The music fix is available separately if you have 1.0060 / 1.0061 (as shown in the bottom right corner of the main menu) and don't want to redownload the full installer for 1.0062.

Never having played DD until it came to GOG, I wondered at the praise for the soundtrack until I listened to it separately and then wondered why the music in the game was so repetitive. It never occurred to me that it was 'broken'. So, it was a bug? Well, whatever. It is a real pleasure to hear the soundtrack as it should be in the game now and it wasn't a big deal to dl and reinstall the game.

Btw, I love this game. Love it. I primarily play adventure games and never thought too much of RPGs but Divine Divinity has me reconsidering. Right now, it's pushing hard at Grim Fandango for the place of my favorite game.

Many people bitched about the missing music extensively, including myself. They finally passed along a music fix that Raze described there, years later. There are still some bug fixes from the disk versions that never made it to the digital edition, so I'm still complaining and hoping those get patched eventually as well.

May I recommend that you write to us via the Contact Us link? :)
I wasn't under the impression that GOG directly fixed these kind of issues. I thought if fixes didn't come from Larian they wouldn't come.

So yes, I can put together some kind of report ticket.
