I killed stone before getting the quest "Black Ring's Ring" from Igor. Then when I talked to igor about it he asked me to get the ring, but it did not appear in my journal (neither as failed or completed).

Is there any way I can fix this?

Did you talk to Igor again, and Sassan, to see if killing Stone was enough to be able to complete the quest and upgrade the platform.

If you switch to the Developer Mode version of the game you can try giving yourself Stone's Ring, and see if that triggers anything talking to Igor and/or Sassan.

I did try to talk to them again.
IIRC what happened was that I killed stone.
Much later I finished Igors quest 1, He made NO mention of quest 2.

Then a lot later I went and sold stone's ring.

When I sold stone's ring (which was sitting in my inventory for a while), only then next time I spoke to Igor the dialog asking me to get Igor stone's ring came up.

He mentioned it once and never spoke of it again. Nor does sassan. And it did not appear in journal. there is nothing more he says to me nor sassan. I tried giving myself the ring, no change.
I still cannot say anything relevant to igor or sassan.

I believe the core issue is the quest being broken not the item missing. I need to somehow trigger the quest, then give myself the ring (possible spawn and kill stone first)

You shouldn't be able to sell Stone's Ring, since it is a quest item (unless that was changed in D2:DC). The quest item status shouldn't depend on actually having the quest.

I don't know if you can add quest entries with the Developer Mode. I have not seen that mentioned anywhere, and I only briefly played around with morphing my character into different creatures.

Try emailing support@larian.com, with a description of the problem and maybe a link to this topic.

It was never a quest item for me. I appeared in my regular items the first time around.
And when I spawned a new one using developer's cut edition that one also spawned in my regular inventory (it appears under jewelry not under quest items)

Equipment quest items show up in the relevant equipment category, rather than the quest item category. They should still be marked as quest items, though, so normally they can not be sold, destroyed or sent to the battle tower.

Well, they took a look at my save and say I do have both platform upgrades.
So the only thing I have been shorted on are some dialog, some XP, and a skill book. And I can give myself an extra skill book using developer's cut edition.

Its a really big list and I can't find it, how do you give a skillbook using developer console
