Obviously, you are using a pirated version of the game. :-)) Read the nfo: "NOTE: As usual, block the game exe in your firewall." (c) FLT

..just did..hope it will help. thank you.
it has been 8 hours and no reply from devs :(

it seems i'm not the only one with this problem.

after running the test, my cpu failed the test(i5-2410m, 2.3GHz) but everything else passed the test.

so really dual-core 2.4 its good, but quad-core 2.3 is not ??? WTF? and why dint i see that in the minimum req. of the game ???

fuck the 40$ you can keep it...but lesson learned for sure. :(

When you sent the email it was 7pm in Belgium. Being launch day there were almost certainly people in the office then (they put out a few beta updates at 1am, etc), but they were likely focused on fixing the reported issues.

Larian is fairly conservative with their minimum and recommended system specs. The test should probably give a warning rather than a fail in such cases, but the game itself should not have any problems with your CPU.
Well Falloutttt according to the European law concerning digital goods we are entitled to a refund if the product sold to us is faulty or not what we paid for.

Personally I will give them till closing hour tonight in Belgium before sending my refund request. Some can say that this is a bit unfair but here are some points that will back up this request:

1 the game is obviously not finished: not being able to play on day 1 for a game that is supposed to be single player first and with no drm is a big flaw, also after looking around on the official forums I have discovered that those issues are not new they were actually present during the beta.

2 customers are not treated the same way steam players are already able to get a patch whereas GoG players can't.

3 no mention of the Steam Workshop interaction on GoG. If you have the game on steam you can have access to more content but you wont be able to if you are not on it. Meaning you pay the same price but your experience is very different. This should have been marked for all to see.

To go back to the point 1 if at a restaurant I order a steak I do not expect the cooks to serve me a cow that is not even killed. I can understand if the meat is too cooked or not enough but this situation is beyond that as I can't even use the game whereas the steak could still be eaten anyway.

I was really looking forward to play this game but so far this has been a big disappointment which has taken even more of my time than the dreaded ERROR 37.

Steam allows developers to update games directly, while GOG requires an extra step to release a patch, which means there can be a delay.
This applies to every game on GOG that also has a Steam version.

GOG does not support Steamworks, and has no mechanisms in place to include or distribute Steam keys with purchases. No game that GOG ever lists is going to use Steamworks features. Very few GOG users actually expect that.
What I meant is that no where did you say anything about the possibility for steamwork
hello,

i revived a reply from the developers...

my apologies for starting this thread. as it seems the problem is of my own making:

i installed the game to ...gamez\gog.com\dragon... (as i usually do) but it seems that the "." in gog.com is the problem.

now reinstalling to a normal location...all done and working without problems! :)

@Raze_Larian ...THIS SOLUTION SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE "Dragon Commander - troubleshooting and support" ...as i have seen more ppl with that same problem. also...Thank You for all your help! :)

I can certainly see your point, but GOG isn't going to put a notice on game pages essentially advertising Steam.
When the game was first listed on GOG, the Steam version had not been officially approved yet, so even mentioning Steam in the D:OS kickstarter tier descriptions, for example, was followed by 'if available'.

Thank you. I've added this to the troubleshooting topic.

sorry friend i somehow missed your message.
i had a problem starting the campaign...and after sending an email to the developers, have received a reply on how to fix the problem. and the problem is fixed now and the game is working well.

about the steam situation as you mentioned...i am/was aware of. if i have a choice (between buying on steam or gog) i chose gog even knowing that it will take more time to get the patches. (i dont care about cards and all that)

if you have any problems with the game...and i know there's some bugs...but its getting patched. steam already have 4th patch released(i could be wrong, but i dont think i am) and we here haven't received one yet. :( but thats just the matter of time. if you have any problems with the game, i would advise to contact the developers. they will help you.

The game is really very good, worth the money i paid for.

Wish you all the best!!! hope you get things sorted out!!!
