Hi,

I know this is a long shot, as this forum is not very active, but my computer crashed and I lost my save games for Divine Divinity! Does anyone have a save game just before the council quest that they can share with me? Preferably when the black forest has not been visited yet either.

Thank you very much!

I still have the saves from my original playthrough, as a male warrior. I did most of Ferol and Verdistis and cleared the Ars Magicana sewers before going to the castle (and before that did much of Ferol before entering Verdistis), without entering the Dark Forest.
If that doesn't skip over too much stuff you have not done I can upload a save after clearing the Council Hall, otherwise describe the main areas you've been to and quests you've done, and we can try to find a point in my game where you wouldn't miss too much, or have to re-do too much.

If someone else has saves available, they may better match your character and how you progressed through the game.
Thank you so much for offer! I also played as a male warrior, and I had done most of Ferol and Verdistis, in addition to the sewers. I think your save would do fine, as I had not done much more; I had only collected the Orc, Imp and Human council members, but they are short quests.

PS. I'm posting this reply to your answer on both the Larian/GOG forums.

Here is a save before defeating the succubus (my next was part way into the lizard council quest (since the mage, human and orc were so quick, I had only made quicksaves during that).

The imp I left until last, so I was as high a level as possible. There is a jug there than gives you enough experience to go up a level, so the higher level you are the more of a bonus that is... though admittedly it may be better to get a smaller bonus when you need it than a larger when you don't.

There is a stash of loot in Joram's house, upstairs and down, as well as a flagged barrel on the first level of Iona's dungeon (lower levels not cleared, since I didn't have the teleporter pyramids back yet).
