After the ritual takes place and the Janus-Demon comes and kills the council members apart from Zaendalor I am respawned in an unknown location like this on the screen I attached. I can do nothing, see nothing, even scrolling the screen is not possible!!! WTF !?!

Depending on your OS and how you installed the game you can get some strange results. If you are using Vista / Win 7 make sure you have right clicked the game shortcut, clicked Properties on the resulting dialog, clicked the Compatibility tab and check marked "Run this program as an administrator" UAC, AV programs and firewalls can cause read / writes to be blocked which can often affect the game in this way.

Hopefully you made a save before you performed the ritual so you just need to reload that save and continue. I also suggest you don't use quick saves (CTRL - S) as I have gotten corrupted saves using it. Pressing only the S key to save has worked well for me with no corrupted saves since I began using it.

Can someone upload save right before the council of seven? Or even earlier?
