Hello all,

I had Divinity Original Sin and was playing it. However, now we have EE. Should I uninstall that and restart the game? Does the story change a lot? If not, I have around 8 hours of gameplay and happy to restart.

Thank you.

The ending was rewritten, and there were some changes to quests and dialogue throughout the game. There were also new abilities added (dual wielding, wands, grenades), new skills, fully voice dialogue (English only) and a bunch of other changes.

You don't need to uninstall D:OS to try the EE, unless you are running out of hard drive space. They are separate installs, and keep their saves in different folders in My Documents.

Thanks for the reply. Do you recommend continue playing OS then, or will I miss anything from OS if I start EE now?

You won't miss anything. Unless you are a completionist or really want to see the differences between the two releases, there isn't any reason not to restart with the EE.

Thanks a lot! No, I have too many games to complete therefore will definitely go to EE.

Hey Larian, was the ending rewritten in the sense of improved or completely changed? Is it worth reading up the old ending?

Completely changed.
If you are still curious after you are done the EE you can look up the original ending. If you don't remember, you aren't really missing anything.
