I get to talk the ogre, to take on the quest. But after the talking is done he and his goons attack me, and i havent got a chance. They dont attack me when i walk up to them. I tried to install the 1.34 patch, but the patch tells me that there are no divine divinity installed on my machine. Please help

It should already have the latest patch that fixes the Splinter bug. What is the version number?

i got the same version... just curious about it and if its not right letting you know your not alone.

Am i right in thinking that 1.0034A is the latest patch? thats the version i have (not purchased from GOG) and assumed that was the version GOG was selling.
If i am right, im sure GOG will fix the problem, although i can't understand why the game is preventing you from installing the 1.0034 update.

Because that would be downgrading the game. GOG's Divine Divinity is the remastered version and has the following extras:
