Ok I just got Divine Divinity and ever time I try to run it, it comes up with an error message sayiny:

Unable to write to the installation directory.

Please makes sure that there is still free space on the drive where Divinity is installed and that you have the necessary access rights.

Now I have over 400GB of space on the drive it on and I'm the one who downloaded it off GOG so I should have access. So what going on?

I have Divinity 2 installed and that work's fine along with every other game I've got from GOG.I'm also trying to running it on a laptop but that shouldn't have thaat much of an affect.

The laptops sepcs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2540M CPU @2.60 GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB
WIN 7

Please help. Thank you.

So the game installed fine, but you get an error trying to start the game?

Did you try running it as administrator? You could also try running the game in Win9x compatibility mode, and see if that gets Windows to treat it differently and avoid the error.

If you installed the game to the Program Files path, try re-installing it somewhere else (c:\games or something).

Once you get the game installed, there is an update that hasn't gotten an official patch yet: see music fix.

Well it work's fine if I run it as an administrator, which is odd. It deffently has a access problem but it small since I can still run it another way. Thanks for the help anyway. If something else pop's up, well, I know where to go to. Thanks again.
