Hello,
I am past the point where the healer merchant has been murdered, and I'm in desperate need of health potions. I can trade with the healer king or whatever he is (Mardaneus?), but he never has very many potions. Does anybody know where I can find another decent merchant?
Thanks,
-Gammix

Not condoning the use of cheats but on first play thru it can be helpful. If you absolutely can go no further and have exhausted every source, it might make the diff between being stuck and continuing the game. If you do a search for DD cheats, you will find a dupe cheat. I don't know what the forum rules are on cheats so I won't give you a step by step.
Someone else might have a legit way out of your desperate need of potions.

Great, thanks. =)
If you get two ranks of the Alchemy skill (Way of the Survivor) you can make potions from mushrooms.
Just use an empty flask on a patch of mushrooms and you get a potion.
Red = Health
Blue = Mana
Yellow = Stamina
With three ranks, you can make bigger potions and not just the minor ones.
K, will do. I have a couple spare skill points.
The merchant doesn't have many potions, but all the other healers do ! Buy from them. Personally I didn't get the Alchemy skill until much later but always had plenty of potions.
The problem I had was to get a merchant to buy some armor. For repair you can ask Otto the dwarf.
SPOILER : do the lizard and dwarf healers quest, you'll need much less Healing potions!!!
Health can also be recovered by hunting rabbits, chickens, boars and other critters. There's a limit to how much you can eat at a time, but at the early levels, it's a big help, and is completely "free" healing.
Hello, you can explore merchant locations in Elden Ring in various places. Some of these are as follows. One of them can be found by the Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace, which is good for amazing mages - they trade the Astrologer's Staff, the Estoc, a good Kite Shield, and the Astrologer's armor set, and a Lantern. One can be found in the Isolated Merchant's Shack of the Weeping Peninsula, this merchant trades a Lantern, two Stonesword Keys, a colossal sword that is named Zweihander, and a Lost Ashes of War. You can now explore more locations by following this website https://exputer.com/guides/elden-ring-merchant-locations/ now. Another one can be discovered down the beach from the Coastal Cave, where you can purchase a Shortbow, a Broadsword, and a Club.
