Such an awesome game. I had some technical issues so I ended up having to restart (corruption after I hit the gong). I didn't really mind though as I had so much fun and wanted to build a different character anyway. I played hard difficulty as a mage my first time through... not a great idea. Went warrior the second and had a much easier time (also discovered poison weapon is OP).

I'm curious though, it lists agility as increasing offense/defense. I just assumed that really meant to hit/evasion. Can anyone confirm?
Can't confirm your question, just wanted to comment that most of the time on a first play through, I'll play a warrior rather than a magic user. Gameplay is much easier and I can enjoy the game better.

Agility determines Offense and Defense. The chance to hit and be hit are based on your offense/defense and your character level.

Well I had no real sticking points with the mage, it was just tedious. If I were to play a mage again it'd be a hybrid. I think it's almost necessary to play a hybrid on hard difficulty just because it feels like the various areas are all built to be tough for specific character builds and you need a hybrid build to be able to successfully deal with everything the game throws at you. Otherwise there's going to be that 1 area that's just a tedious pain in the arse.

I would still argue that's to hit/evasion, even if technically that's not the case. If offense/defense have no value other then being dependent variables in the calculation of to hit/evasion, then it was really just bad form for Larian to hide the final value.

Now if those values are used in other calculations that's a different can of worms.
