Do you think GOG even check this forum any more? I love GOG, but this whole thing is pretty embarrasing. I could have bought it at Impulse and had a fully patched, working version by now.

Agreed. It would be nice if we were at least given a status update. And I was wondering that too: how will we know when the patch is ready other than checking this page every day?
I have been really looking forward to completing this game without constant crashes for several months now.

Knowing how we will be notified that the patched setup.exe is ready for download would be helpful . . .

GOG always releases a whole new setup.exe, no patch. Everybody has exactly the same install that way. . .=)
