So I decided to play this on a second computer and it downloaded my synced saves and continued the game, just as I would normally do on another gaming platform with cloud sync.

When I went back to the first PC though, I had no luck getting it to sync back in the other direction.

Tried practically everything including deleting all saves but the current one even on both computers, repeatedly opening and closing to force sync, creating new saves etc. The game simply refuses to pass back to the original PC. In fact with all saves deleted on both computers it still downloads an entire gig of saves and I can't figure out how to delete them from anywhere. If they are deleted on both machines yet still re-appearing then I just don't know.

Do you get a message each time saying it is not synced and giving you the option os choosing your PC as correct, cloud as correct, or ignore? If so, it's a known problem that only affects certain games that save in some odd way that GOG is trying to fix. < General discussion--GOG Galaxy-official discussion thread--page 28 >
Otherwise, I'm barking up the wrong tree and this is of no help.

Is the date and time set properly on both computers?

Were the new saves uploaded on the second computer?

Maybe try disabling cloud support on the first computer, exiting out of Galaxy, restarting, and enabling it again.

Yes, I was. Selecting either option didn't seem to matter.

Yes both machines have proper date/time etc. I will experiment with disabling/re-enabling cloud saves, see if I can get the whole thing to reset.
