Dragon Commander seems like such a unique brew that I don't know if anyone would even know of games similar to it, but does anyone know of games that unite the politics, strategy, war room and political marriage aspects like this game does? I really like the idea that the political marriage brings different choices and insights based on which person you choose, it seems like it'd keep replays a bit fresher.
I haven't played the game (waiting for a sale tbh), but at the same time reviews for this game vary pretty wildly, and I definitely see a lot of people saying it didn't quite get it right...but are there any games who did? Or is it just the consensus of those reviewers that one day a game will get the mix right, but this is the only one to have tried it? I'd love to find out that other games prefigure this on those elements (even if the political marriage was more like "what hero do you choose" or "what adviser do you choose" something, but that basic game mechanic is what I'm most keen on after the war room element).
So, any suggestions? Anyone know of a strategy game with that war room/political/advisory element to it that they would recommend?
