Has anyone attempted the Cursed Church quest yet? Everytime I go into it the ghost attacks the priest and monk but they're both spinning around in place (I don't think that's supposed to happen). Then a ghost hits the monk with a blast and nothing happens after that. I can open the quest log, map, etc. using the shortcut keys but the screen is stuck there with the priest and monk spinning in place. Eventually the game crashes but I just want to know if I'm supposed to finish another quest first before entering the church or is my game fubar'd and can I never go into the church?

I have the same problem, and will send a support ticket right after this. However, to answer Firek's question; yes, both of the NPCs are spinning as the ghost warps around them and attacks them at range.
I have noticed other NPCs spinning in place as well, but it didn't break the game. In those other cases, just starting a dialogue with them would fix the issue. Most notable of the these spinning NPCs is George in Alereth. I also think the guards at the bridge were spinning after killing the trolls, but I didn't spend a lot of time there.

In mine, both the priest and monk are spinning in place, also, now that Kryspyn mentions it, I do recall (the gnome in the beginning that sells you stuff, I forgot his name) was spinning in place after the mysterious man left his building. At the time I assumed it was a side effect from his drug habit but maybe that could be looked into as well.
[I also have the same problem.
I didn't have this problem with the non-remastered version. I hope Larian is willing to fix it.

I seem to recall something along those lines as well, but didn't put to much attention into it.
I am having this problem as well but I also can not seem to play this game without constantly getting kicked out and then when I try to get back in it tells me I have to reset my configuration. This happens constantly on both my laptop which has vista and my PC which has XP
I have the same problem as TheCudlyOne
Same problem here.
Also the game keeps crashing now and then, which is pretty annoying after a while. A driver update of gfx-card didn't help.
I'm not able to send a ticket tho with dxdiag, cause i got no internet connection at home.
Cheers
Working on a fix along with other stuff that's being reported here if we can reproduce it. Feel free to contact GOG support with a savegame taken before a crash if you can. There are some crashes we cannot reproduce, so if you can, include a dxdiag.
Can you tell me how to do this? I have a saved game right before I fight Josephina in the elves vs. dwarves quest. It crashes every time right after she talks (as well as every time i try to fight Shrimpo or go to the church or fight the orc shamans (unless I freeze them first).

Click Start, Run, type in dxdiag. Give it a moment to open and press the "save all information" button. Should save a dxdiag.txt file to the location you choose.
Save files at [ your drive letter ] :\Program Files\GOG.com\Divine Divinity\savegames\[ your character name].
I would zip it up before sending using winzip or 7-zip http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
Edit: Vista has it's own zip program now that I think about it.

In an earlier post DeathKnight asked that it be sent to . . . . Mail it to info at larian dot com and mention my nickname in the subject, ask to forward to David.
I think GOG has a 2.5 MB max file size using support, tech problems route

I just wanted to add to this discussion:
I've had a couple of crashes to desktop already, but nothing serious. In both I was doing something, I just don't remember what, but after restarting the game, the crashes didn't happen again.
When I first saw Elrach (did I spell it right?) in that small cutscene near the quarantine area, the game wouldn't go back to game mode after the cutscene ended. It just remained there without giving me back control and the status bar. Alt+tab to desktop and back solved this problem.
This is about another crash that I'm experiencing. I'm doing the quest for the elven council and when i find Josephina and talk to her automatically, after i finish talking to her the game crashes. I read about all the other treads, mostly is another crash caused by Vista, I'm just being curious and impatient , so when might the patch be ready?
