Hi everyone,

I've got the latest installation file and the latest patch file (2.13.0.24) from the gog site. I played for some hours now and autosave as well as quicksave always worked. Now I killed a bunch of skeletons and undead dogs at the lighthouse and I can't save the game anymore. It displays "Failed to save game - Error code(s): 504".

I couldn't find a solution to this in different forums. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you for your time!

eclipsana: "Failed to save game - Error code(s): 504".
That is an error copying the final save.

How much disk space do you have on your c: drive (or wherever you have your My Documents folder)?

Can you make a named save? If so, does increasing the number of quicksaves and autosaves kept in the Game section of the options, and/or manually deleting the oldest quicksave, allow you to make a new quicksave?

Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting the game? One person had their firewall cause this error when it was set to allow the game on private networks only, though also accompanied by the error code 502 (copying the level cache folder).

Try creating a new profile, start a new game and see if you can save. With the number of saves at default, see if you can quicksave more than 5 times in a row.

Try browsing to the '..\Documents\Larian Studios' folder and renaming the 'Divinity Original Sin' subfolder.
This folder contains the saved games, configuration files and a level cache folder. Deleting or renaming it will get the game to recreate it on startup; playing the game from a different Windows user account would effectively do the same thing.
After that, start D:OS, create a new profile and see if you can start a new game and save/load. Exit and then copy a couple saves from the renamed folder into the newly created profile's savegames folder. If that lets you load the saves and re-save normally, move the rest of the saves over. Also move the DLC subfolder from the renamed folder into the new 'Divinity Original Sin' folder, or re-install the DLC patch(es).
If that doesn't work, delete the new My Documents D:OS folder and rename the original back again.
