I just picked up the singing sword, and I wanted to dupe it as was suggested in another thread so I could put different charms in it later.
My problem is this. When I dupe the sword, if I put a charm into one sword, it appears to automatically be put into its copy as well.
So, what I do, I drag from my inventory to hover over a chest window, press space, press escape, resume, press space again. Viola, I've got a sword in both places. I equip the one in my inventory, open my equipment window, and click on the sword there, so the charm slots pop up. Drag a charm into one. Close the window. Mouse over the duplicated sword that is still in the other chest. The item description says it has a charm attached, as does the one I still have equipped.
Did I do something wrong? Does this cheat no longer work the right way with the new patch? Is there another way I might try this?
Thanks

I am in my first play thru with the new patch. Going back to my storage, I find my stored items that I have duped have the charms in them as well. Apparently, the patch has negated the re-charming of items. Stored duped Items that I have not charmed can still be charmed but once charmed . . . they cannot be recharmed.
It seems that it is no longer possible to dupe and recharm.

Bummer. Well, thanks for checking that out for me. At least I was able to get a sword setup with 5 charm slots, so I guess I'll just save a few for later.
You're welcome, that is a disappointment since it was such a helpful cheat . . .=)
Still might be a workaround . . .
