Am I missing something, or is the main drawback from crafting homemade Items in D:OS, that they will never have magic properties in the sense that looted items have?

What I mean is properties that are not derived from boosts like Tormented Souls or Fire Essence, but which are represented in the name of the Item with a prefix and suffix. E.g. I can find or buy a "Brutal Axe of Alacrity", but I can never craft it?

Some crafted items may naturally show up with properties, but this generally comes at the expense of lower damage or armor value compared to another item of the same type (and crafting variables). When it comes to weapons, the damage value of crafted weapons (assuming a 5 blacksmithing) will be much higher than most magical ones of the same level (excepting a few legendaries and uniques).

No matter the stats, or how they compared to dropped/found items, a crafted item will always be white-colored.
