Thinking of getting Divine Divinity and was just wondering if anyone knows if the GoG version needs a Patch or if it is sold with any Patches already done?

I checked and saw FilePlanet still has a Patch available, so there seems to be no problem if it does.

GOG's Divine Divinity is patched to the latest version which is V1.005A. There is no need to patch it further since this release has all the fixes available plus the high res support incorporated into the release.

BTW, the previous (old) patch was V1.0034 or sometimes called V1.34 (new version sometimes called V1.5A) . . . =)

Beyond Divinity is also at the newest patch version but I don't have it installed or recall what the version was . . .

Edit : An FYI thing, as far as I know there is no V1.005A patch available for the retail CD releases at this time. The digital distributions, at least here on GOG, have the new V1.005A patch. I have found no download of the V1.005A patch itself for updating the CD V1.0034 version. DD version info is shown on the start menu in the lower right corner.

Thanks, Stuff!

Been looking at this series for over 5 years now and it keeps getting pushed to the bottom of my "Must Play" list...now that I'm just about to complete Alpha Protocol (a little buggy, but a very entertaining Game, BTW) DD goes to the top :)

Still wondering about the Title though. lol

lol, you're welcome.

I keep this one installed as I like it a lot. The name is strange but I remember reading a review that said something about DD being a GREAT game with the worst name possible.

There are some standard tips in this forums stickey. I moved them to the end so the first tip starts about here.

Enjoy !!

Edit: The install tips can make a real difference in getting the game up and running quickly.
