Does anyone know if the split-screen co-op will be included in the PC version as well? You know, for those with PCs connected to TVs. Considering that the PC version will seem to include controller support, I am really hoping the answer is yes.

MSRDGM: split-screen co-op will be included in the PC version as well?
Yes.
In my experience, when games turn their inventory management to a "console-friendly" way, it destroys the smoothness and convenience of the K/M-friendly way.

I hope it does not happen here. Many a great PC games have been destroyed because they aspired to become console-games, while others just limited themselves. X-COM is great example. It stays at a "very good" stage when it could had been a "really great" game. Consoles have tons of limitations that effect lots of design decisions in games.

The other aspects of the new edition sound great(although not interested in the co-op). Looking forward to them.

Taking a look at the steam forums, I saw that people are concerned about the consoles getting mixed, as well.

What can I say, bad experiences are bad experiences. I really hope Larian will prove to all of us that you are *THE* exception in a software industry that is getting streamlined(in the bad sense of the word) and watered down to suit the action-focused play that consoles promote.
I agree. Anyone worrying about console inspired "innovations" seeping in to a PC game is just proving to be sane. We have countless examples that have happened before (and the cries of reassurance that it would absolutely, utterly and unequivocally would not happen that preceded each and every case), that not stating concern would be simply moronic.
I'd still be hopeful though for two reasons.
First we are talking about Larian here and, putting it simply, they are different than most of the game dev studios, at least of a relevant size. Only tiny indie studios have similar attitude and directness.
Secondly the PC controls are already in the game. It's doubtful that anyone would change something that works too drastically in an already established product.

Truth be told though the second point does not stand for any future games Larian makes, so it remains to be seen what the future holds. Personally I'm more concerned about that, than D:OS EE getting screwed.

So, until proved guilty of consolitis, in Larian we trust! :P
