I just started this game. I am in temple at the beginning of the game and there is stone gate and in front of it they are two squared buttons at the grounds. I can step at them and something happens but gate doesn't open. How to open this gate.

Second question. I have so far two main heroes. Can I stop one hero to don't move for a moment while going with another hero to do something dangerous, or they must to do everything always together? I mean for example stop one hero in front of some poisoning cloud whille another hero will be going to open some crate which is behind this cloud?

You can seperate your heroes by grabbing the portrait of one in the left corner, and taking it apart from the other. You will see that the chain that "links" the two portraits will be broken, and you can move them seperately. You can link them again by dropping the two portraits next to each other again.

You can move objects by grabbing them with the mouse. Just drop two vases on the two buttons, and the door opens.

Some puzzles in the game require you to separate your characters. Like the above post said, you can drag the portraits and stop the chains from linking your characters together. That way you can complete that puzzle and future puzzles in the game.

Thank you guys both of you for your advices. They really helped me. I only started to play this game so I have to learn anything yet because this game isn't easy to play it successfully.
