How long will Divinity Original Sin be 20% off? Is there a chance it might be in the flash sales for even lower? I have been waiting to get it but I am worried it might be even cheaper during this sale at some point.
Same boat here, 20% off is nice, but I don't want to get it now and see it go lower on a flash deal.
I feel the same way but I've been meaning to buy this ever since it came out so I am going to pick it up now at 20% off. I was going to pick it up during the last sale but it was never discounted and I made up my mind to pick it up at full price really soon. Now that it is on sale I can't pass on it. Maybe it will be on a flash sale but I am happy with the discount already.
Well I fucking wasted money getting it for 20% off then couple hours later its 33% off. Fucking stupid how they run the sales with timed bullshit.

Well if you were ready to pay for it while at 20% off then it must have been worth the money for you. The point of flash sales is that you stumble upon something cheaper by chance. This way I got it for -33%. Would I still pay for it when it was -20%? Yeah, I was going to because Larian is a great studio I support. And GoG even with -20% and the fair-deal price (where they give you some cash back into your GoG account) has a price that is less than what it costs on Steam with -33% discount. Both Larian and GoG are great and in my opinion they deserve the money. Don't feel bad about not saving more cash, feel good that you now own a great game!

I do not think the game is as "great" as you say it is. The combat is not well thought out at all. I loved the first game in this series way back when and dragon commander but this is very meh.

The point I am pissed about is I bought it less then a couple hours later its cheaper. How would you feel if you walked into a mall bought something then as you are walking out of the mall its way cheaper and no sign of it going on sale to be cheaper. It is a stupid practice and I will just stick to buying old games now.

It happens. Deal with it and move on. No point throwing your doll out of the pram, blaming GOG for perceived bad practices. Another day you may turn up to catch the sweetest deal.

That is pretty terrible sentiment to have. I bet most businesses would love to charge you more then the person behind you based on the fact you will just take it. I am dealing with it by not buying any game they charge this much for again. They could have the sales going all at once but the system set up is taking advantage of never knowing if the game you want is going on sale and forcing the buyer into a decision they might regret later on which as it has will ruin there standing with said consumer.

From here it looks like you're dealing with it by complaining. And that's not dealing with it.

Not happy? gog.com 30-day guarantee and all ;-)
Besides, 15% less discount on a 39.99€ game, that is like 6 bucks. And yet here you are being pissed and wasting time on it.

It is 33% off for the next four hours, or so.

I'm the second post in this thread. I had a bit of patience and got it 33% off. You only have yourself to blame.
When the newsletter arrived that claimed the 33% off, I instantly opened the GOG page where it was still at -20%. At it was the hour before and as it still is. If there was a 33% offer at all, it must have been for less than 15 minutes or so. Honestly I doubt that it was available for -33% at all. At least in some European countries this kind of teaser is illegal.
Anyway, just as the wrong credit shown when advertising Witcher 3 weeks after they were informed about it, I fear this kind of fishy behaviour is the result of increased profit expectations and will get worse.

It was indeed available for 33% off in a flash deal. Flash sales change over time, but there is a chance that Original Sin returns once more before tha sale ends.

It is for -33% right now as part of the flash sales happening all the time. The game is for -33% for 5 hours and this is the FOURTH time I saw that Divinity - Original Sin has been on sale for -33% in the Winter Sale. As the previous people have stated it only boils down to how often you check here and how much you are willing to pay for it. There is no scam going on by GoG.com...
