My hero does not import over into Flames of Vengeance after beating the first game, I just end up at the main menu of the game.
There should be an automatic transition from the end of Ego Draconis (the cutscene after the Hall of Echoes) to the Flames of Vengeance section (the return to Aleroth, where you get access to the rest of the city).

Can you start a new Flames of Vengeance character (level 35)?
Did Flames of Vengeance start at your Computer ?? I have a good Computer, bit it doesnt start. The Loading Scene at the Beginning from Flames of Vengeance stops... I let the Game load over 30 Minutes, but nohting happend...

Maybe you know why ?

Arami24: My hero does not import over into Flames of Vengeance after beating the first game, I just end up at the main menu of the game.
I have the same problem "sort of", after the last cut scene all i get is a black screen and a loading symbol that does not turn.

I left it for about 10 minutes and it was not doing anything, from what i have seen online the game is supposed to transition over to F.O.V automatically after that cut scene where Damian launches his attack on the city with his newly resurrected girlfriend by his side, with you currant character.
Since the last load screen "froze" that obviously did not happen, so starting a new F.O.V game is essentially starting a new character "and that sucks" yes it is a lvl35 but you have zero equipment and 45k gold, that's it! Nothing else besides very crappy Armor.
Is there a way to skip the last cut scene in ED so that i can "hopefully" get past the infinite loading screen to F.O.V with my character and all my loot, armor and so on intact?
If you hit Esc, does the game continue? If the cutscene video is not starting or ending for some reason, Esc may skip it.

Can you start a new Flames of Vengeance game?
If not, problems with the cutscene at the start of the Flames of Vengeance section of the game can be due to the audio codec. In that case it may help to re-install the AC3filter audio codec.

Try lowering the game resolution and graphics settings to see if that helps.

Try running the Developer Mode version of the game, to see if that makes a difference.

Try verifying local files: in Galaxy select the game in the left column, then click on the More button, and in the Manage menu select 'Verify / Repair'.

Check for updated graphics drivers; that help one person with a black screen at the FoV transition.

Try the 4GB Patch to increase the amount of virtual memory that the game (or any 32 bit application) can access in 64 bit versions of Windows. One person reported that this fixed their problem with this transition.

Setting the game to run in a window may also avoid problems with this transition. To do so, edit the file below in a text editor and change the one to a zero in Fullscreen="1".
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Profile\graphicoptions.xml

The easiest way to get to that folder would probably be to copy the following into the location bar in Windows Explorer.
%LocalAppData%\Divinity 2\Profile

To browse there, you may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders:

(covers Vista through Win 10)

Try starting a video in Windows Media Player, pause it, and leave it running in the background when you start the game. That can help if there are problems with certain video filters or codecs.

Try renaming the cutscene videos Endscene_English.wmv and EXP_Intro_English.wmv in the install folder '..\Divinity II - Developers Cut\Data\Video'.

You can disable playing videos, though the game should just skip the video if it is renamed. To do so, in the install folder, edit the '..\data\globalswitches.xml' file in a text editor and change the one to a zero in the term PlayVideo="1" and save.
