Okay so I originally started up DD as a mage. I got to about level 6 before doing an OS wipe. The game was brutally difficult and I was constantly running out of mana.

I restarted the game last night, making it to level 4 before my bed's sweet calling became too much to bear, this time rolling a survivor.

Wow, night and day. The survivor.... survives! I am having a blast with this game, and I intend to sink some hours into it. I love love love this game now that I'm playing a class that is easier to learn the game with, not to mention his silver-tongued prowess gives me chat options.

This game is often overlooked, and the voice acting isn't that bad, imho. It's better than Diablo 2 on oh so many levels... I'm surprised I never heard of it back when it came out in the 2000's.

If you're debating on getting this game, there is no debate. Get it. It's worth the $5.99.

I totally agree. Diablo 2 was kind of fun when I was playing co-op with my brother, but after our schedules got out of sync and he kept playing with the same character when I couldn't play, I quickly got bored with solo play half heartedly trying to catch up, and quite the game.

And it's absolutely worth the $0.01 you can get it for in the current PWYW promotion. Everyone should buy an extra 7 gift copies of DD to give to their friends and relatives.
EDIT: nvm :)

I'm also giving DD a try again. Got about half way through with a warrior the first time and I absolutely loved it- never found the time to start up again until now (thanks to Sandy, no reliable internet access for a week or two).

I'll give the Survivor a try, look forward to seeing the additional chat options.

Since this is now a month later than your original post, how have you fared CymTyr?
i recomend it too. its very fun, but its not a game you can just walk through without any challenges from start to finish. i like those kind of games more because they require less effort to get through.

however, hands down divinity II ego draconis is the better game.
