Greetings, everyone. Divine Divinity has been a blast to play, and has turned out to be an unexpected gem so far. However, there are a couple questions I have that I am a bit stuck on. (I may have a few more later, but I want to try to figure them out first and I don't wish to inundate this forum and thread with constant questions).

1) I was able to rescue the boy in Dark Cave. How do I find the boy and Caroline to complete those quests? (I will try to look around for the vampire some more, but I may need a hint on where he is later.)
2) Is the invitation to Stormfist Castle timed? I want to explore more of the map first and really don't want to deal with Duke Janus yet (along with what I assume would be a lowered reputation when I escape the castle). I also want to get my Level 13 Warrior stronger. (Besides the wounded soldier in Aleroth, are there any other timed quests?)

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Raderofthelostark: How do I find the boy and Caroline to complete those quests?
The mother should still be wandering around by the southern Ars Magicana entrance.
Explore the rest of the cave; the locked door needs Lockpick level 2, or there is a lever past the door that can be pulled with Telekinesis level 2.

The Aleroth quests are not timed, per se. It is completing any of the quests that give an invitation to the castle which advances the story in Aleroth, so if you didn't do so already, healing the 2 soldiers will be impossible, Mardaneus will recover without your help and the healers will move.
The only timed quest is in Verdistis; if you accept a request to perform some vandalism, it must be done the same game day, or the quest giver will do it himself.

Ah, I see. Just did it last night. Thank you, sir/ma'am! It was a little hard to spot Caroline there for some reason. Now to go find wherever the vampire went off to. I don't have telekinesis or level 2 lockpick and I need to start pouring some skill points into Way of the Warrior since I put all of them into Way of the Mage skills, so I guess the rest of Dark Cave will have to wait for now.

Good to know there is only one timed quest. So the wounded soldier quest wasn't timed, eh? I suddenly noticed I had failed the quest after looking at my quest log. It was my fault since I had the Magic Mirror in my possession too, and stupidly forgot about it. It only clicked in my head as soon as I saw that I failed the quest.

Judging by your name and seeing your profile in other places, I'm going to take a wild guess and say you are the developer(s) of the game (or at least a joint account of the developers of the Divinity series), ha ha. Thanks again for the help!
Mage spell books can be bought (can show up randomly in NPC inventories): Free skills, and spell books you can buy.

I joined the old Larian forum just after Divine Divinity was originally released, and hung around there until they hired me 5 years ago.

Yeah, I've been finding a few of them. Thanks for the tip. That's really cool that you are now part of Larian.

Also, I just got Telekinesis earlier today and took care of that vampire. Sweet pair of boots in that chest. The sewers in Rivertown market have also given me a ton of loot and experience, which led me to be able to complete some other quests liked the Cursed Abbey and the Troll cave. My character is coming along nicely. Thanks again for the help!
