Hi!

I'm playing the game at 1280x720 resolution and the character models are not drawn in at the edge of the screen. They appear in the gameworld at around the edge of the UI elements at the bottom of the screen so i'm guessing it's because of the games original resolution. Everything else, including the birds and such moving elements are drawn all the way. I've included two pictures to demonstrate the issue.

As this makes it kind of easy to walk into an ambush or miss things i was wondering if there is a way to increase the draw distance? Or is this a feature? Like, is it because of a low skill which is related to the sight range etc.

Yes, there are a couple skills which increase the sight range (Elven Sight is much more effective than Ranger Sight) and sight bonuses will start showing up on equipment.
When playing the original release (at 1024x768) I only put one point into Elven Sight, and eventually started avoiding using too much equipment with sight bonuses, so I wouldn't clear much more of the fog of war than the screen size (made it easier to keep track of areas I had explored).

Increasing the sight range will have NPCs show up at longer distances, up to the limit of the mini-map. After that point you'll clear more of the fog of war, but moving the camera away from the character (Caps Lock, or hold Shift), NPCs will not be shown in the world.

Thanks for clearing this up! I could not find anything with a quick glance at the manual, so i was left wondering, but this helped a lot!
