i got the game a while ago from a friend and added it to my account and even played the game i now want to reinstall the game but i cant find it on my GOG account.
might it be because it was the classic game and not EE? because i cant even find the clasic game in the store

No, D:OS Classic should normally still be in your library, along with a separate entry for the EE.

Do you know where your friend got the key? Some time ago, before the EE was released, Steam removed a bunch of games from Steam libraries purchased from a certain third party key reseller, which were originally purchased with stolen credit cards. That happened at least once with D:OS on GOG, as well.
In any case, I think you'll need to contact GOG support.
