This thing is acting buggy on me today, and it's hung up twice in game. And I have to wonder if this is a bug, or if my memory is just wrong again.
I found the broken down cart, got the wheel, returned to find it on fire. Investigated and found the bodies, learned of the hidden stash, yadda yadda you know that whole thing (that for some reason shows up as several separate quests instead of subsets of a main one).
Enter the sewers, find the stash, find the piece of paper implicating Tingalf, returned to Rivertown, talked to Lt. Robin, informed him of Tingalf's involvement, and he walked away (I thought to arrest Tingalf). Tingalf was gone, but when I came back the next time (and every time now) Tingalf is right there in his spot, selling his black market wares, warning me to keep it quiet or the guards will hear. I've gotta believe this is a bug, cause I don't remember seeing Tingalf after reporting him to Lt. Robin in my other games. (ADDED: LOL, I just looked at him, and noticed that his attitude toward me is 86, Helpful. Wow, I turn the guy in and he loves me??? Gotta be a bug)
Also, too, regarding this quest (or rather series of quests), I spoke to Markus numerous times during these quests, and when I finally notified him of where he could find his stash, he rewarded me not only with experience points but an upgrade in my Identify skill. So I go look in my diary and all the quests related to this episode are marked completed EXCEPT one, the one titled "Find Clues About Wares". This is still showing as neither completed or failed.
But when I try and talk to Markus to tell him the clues I found about the wares (dead bodies, orcs in the area, etc) there is no option to do so. In fact, when I click on Markus now the only option I have is "See you later" or something like that. Bug?
And tonight, when this thing is acting buggy, I just saw something very strange regarding the goods Tingalf is selling. One of his items was listed as costing 87,970, by far the highest price I've seen to this point in the game.
Yet the item was a plain old Long Bow. The only bonus it had was +1 sight. The damage was standard, the durability was like 20 (nothing special there), the only thing that was special was the name, as it was named "Long Bow of the Angels" or something like that. Why would it be named that and cost that much with no bonuses other than the +1 sight? Is my save file maybe corrupted again??
