Hi, I've enjoyed old games like Baldur's Gate EE, 2 EE, Icewind Dale EE, IWD 2(with Bigger font mods), Diabloe 1(with Beelzebub mods).

I was searching for similar games, and found out Beyond Divinity and Divine Divinity.

Since my PC is too old, so I can't play DOS 1 and 2, I want to try Beyond and Divine Divinity.

Are these games enjoyable to a new player like me?

BTW, are these games have bigger font mods? I've tried Troika's Arcanum but font size were too small and it hurt my eyes so I couldn't play it...

The core gameplay is more like Diablo than Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, but since you enjoyed Diablo, too - maybe? Divine Divinity has more story and exploration than Diablo though, the map and all encounters are fixed, not random, and IIRC, like in all Divinity games, you can freely mix and match skills without being too limited in how you build your character. So yeah, if you're open towards older games, I think Divine Divinity might still be fun to play today (I played it 10 years ago, but it was old then already). Beyond Divinity, the sequel of sorts or spin off, is not very highly regarded though. I would suggest trying Divine Divinity first.

No idea about fonts; did you use widescreen or high resolution mods for Arcanum? I would recommend to just play these old games in their original, lower resolutions, it's not pretty but you quickly get used to it.

Also, don't forget Divinity 2: Developer's Cut, the game between the Divine Divinity and Divinity: Original Sin series, from 2012. Maybe you can run that one, too? Completely different gameplay and perspective again, but fun as well.

You can check this link for larger fonts for Divine Divinity:

For Beyond Divinity:

Like Leroux said, DD is better rated than BD. I haven't tried the latter, but the skills are messed up really bad. Suppose you invest points into sword mastery to increase damage, well that's just for damage. If you want better accuracy you need to invest in sword accuracy skill too. Same for critical chance with sword. And it goes on like this for maces, spells, summons, thieving, etc. Just keep in mind you get don't many skill points.

You can peek at the official strategy guide to see how's the game, just don't read the quests and story parts, because of spoilers:

I've been playing Divinity Original Sin 2 a lot recently, and I love it. I'm wondering if the original games are as good as people say. Has anyone played them?

Divine Divinity is very good.
Beyond Divinity... not so much.
