I've been trying to figure out how to join a online game, but when I go to the 'Online' tab it just says: "Can not connect to online community server". - Or something similar. Shouldn't we be able to play with anyone who owns this game, Steam included?

I'd like to try some co-op with this game, but LAN just isn't an option for me.

GOG version supports LAN and Direct Connect multiplayer, no matchmaking / lobby
There is also the Split-Screen Co-Op but it requires you to be physically on same computer and to have two controllers.

Start the multiplayer game and press escape. Click the connectivity menu. Click Direct Connect and hold the mouse over it. It will show your server Id.

That's too bad. At least we can find people to play with on the forums and direct connect. Hopefully once more Galaxy features are implemented things can improve.
