Hello, world!
I would like to know if my alpha version saves will be compatible with final version?
Let's say I finished alpha and returned to the game when it's released to finish the story. Will I have to play first act again from the beggining or I can continue playing from where I left?

P.S. Sorry for poor English. :D

No. There will be too many balancing changes, features implemented, fixes and changes to existing content, etc, to maintain saved game compatibility before release (that will be done after release, though).
Even significant updates during the alpha and beta will break save compatibility (though you will always be able to stay at, or revert to, a specific game version to continue an existing playthrough).

Thanks a lot!
So really enjoyed the 30 hrs of great gameplay. And I liked the idea of playing parts as released and supporting the studio to get this project going, but having to completely start over really stinks and should be made much more clear when a game is listed as in development.
Hello,

I've just logged in to continue my 3h run, and to my surprise I can't because all Saves from yesterday are marked as "Incompatibile". Is that something just for me, or global?
A new update was released.
During the current early access / alpha testing phase you'd best assume that EACH update can break all your savegames.

I'd recomment turining auto update OFF, if this might be a problem for you and ONLY update after you checked whether a new version is COMPATIBLE with your existing savegames.

Global. In Galaxy, select Divinity Original Sin 2 in the left column, click the More button and select Settings; select manual rather than automatic updates, and you can then revert back to version 3.0.15.252 to finish off the playthrough in progress.
I just finished a play through of the previous patch. Today the game was patched again. And....saves are not compatible. I am now waiting until things worked out any any save will be compatible with the final version. I deleted every thing from my computer. And I think I will not play any in development games from today forward!

It depends on the game type and complexity whether save compatibility can be maintained, as well as what point in development it is.

For D:OS 2, any updates before release with significant feature or balancing changes will not be able to load previous saves. Small updates with bug fixes, or changes with a limited scope, may not break save compatibility, but those are more likely later in development, after the game is feature complete (or with specific issue hotfixes, if any are needed).
I hate when they do this, its why i never finished the last one..

well it is an early access, period.
The 3.0.33.118 hotfix today maintains save compatibility with last week's 3.0.31.292 update.
