I am trying to play with friends whom have the latest version (3.*.142.*). I cannot join their games as my version (3.*.141.*) is not the same. There are no patches available to upgrade this (141 version) to the latest (142 version).

We had both downloaded our games from GOG, but, apparently the installs got changed yesterday. Does anyone know of a way to patch my (141) version to the latest codebase? Or do I need to download the full 20GB's again and uninstall/reinstall?

The actual error I receive when running the (only) patch available for download is:
• This patch does not support your version of the game please download a new installer.

Disclaimer: Everything I write in this post is just a speculation, I didn't have this problem so I can't confirm

Sounds like you guys downloaded the game form the actualy GOG website, what I could recommend to fix this version issue is to
-> download the GOG Galaxy client
-> head over to your library
-> click on Divinity Original Sin 2
-> manage installation
-> import folder...
-> (may be needed update your game to the latest patch)
-> select your Divinity Original Sin 2 installation location
-> clck again on the game in your library
-> settings
-> select your desired patch version

I really hope this helps, and enjoy your time with your frined, we are playing DO:S2 as well and it's such a blast!
I grabbed yesterdays patch before it was incorporated into the main install, it is located here

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5GiZELbwxq-ZllKM3lNZWkxaXM/view?usp=sharing

That should update you to 3.0.142.47, then you can go ahead and apply the update from GOG 3.0.142.271

I'm glad I'm on here everyday as it seems there is a new patch/hotfix everyday (ty Larian).

But honestly, because they are coming out so often, GOG should really keep them all in the game library so those who aren't here often won't have to re-download the entire thing.

Once the patches start coming out less often, then only have the most recent.

I understand why - you don't want a huge list of patches in there. But these are coming out fast.

All you need actually do after installing galaxy is load Galaxy, go to the library page through the galaxy UI, and click "Install" and after you tell it where you want to install the game, Galaxy will do all the rest automatically, including the install of the latest version. It works fine, I agree...
